The optics AC 120/1000: This refractor offers a powerful optics and high resolution for detailed planetary observations. The achromatic refractor with 120mm opening is already one of the larger representatives in this telescopic design. With an opening ratio of f / 8.3, most color errors are well corrected. As a refractor, it offers a particularly high contrast, which has a positive effect on the observation of planets. In planetary observation it is mainly the sighting of individual deatils, such as the polar caps of Mars or the large red spot of Jupiter. There is nothing to prevent a quick trip through the solar system.

With an opening of 120 millimeters, numerous DeepSky objects such as the ring fog or the distant ball star cluster M13 are visible. With 293-fold light-collecting capability, it shows objects that can not be seen with the naked eye. The telescope collects even 44% more light than a 100mm telescope.

This unit has a 2 "eyepiece extension including a 1.25" reducer adapter. Both ocular dimensions can thus be used. With a 2 "eyepiece you reach the largest possible facial fields. For example, a 40mm 2" eyepiece with a 72 ° field of view provides a sky section of 2.8 degrees. Large deep-sky objects fit well into the face.

The search telescope is mounted parallel to the main tube and offers a good search possibility for the objects. Astrophotography can also be operated with the telescope. Moon, planets and even most of the fog objects can be photographed by this optics.

The HEQ-5 Pro GoTo is equipped with a pole sight tube, which allows you to position the telescope effortlessly into the right position, the right-angle and declination scales made of aluminum and electric tracking motors for both axes. So you only have to adjust the parallactic mount to the northern pole of the sky before observing, and then you can follow your telescope comfortably by motor control - also suitable for getting into the astrophotography! The mount weighs 7.4Kg and is much more stable than the simpler EQ-5 mount. Shake the HEQ-5 Pro GoTo much better and faster away.
