The new Seestar S30 Pro is the successor to the highly popular Seestar S30 smart telescope. The Seestar is a fully automated GoTo telescope designed for nature and astrophotography, featuring two built-in cameras. It is controlled via smartphone or tablet using ZWO’s proven Seestar app.

Astrophotography has never been easier:

The professional apochromatic quadruplet optics deliver razor-sharp images of the night sky to the camera sensor, with excellent control over chromatic aberration. High-quality coatings further help minimize light loss. Thanks to the sensor's high sensitivity, image noise is minimized even during long-exposure deep-sky shots. An integrated dual-band filter suppresses unwanted light, such as that from artificial sources. This makes the Seestar highly appealing even to city dwellers—effectively the only telescope capable of capturing galaxies and nebulae from an urban balcony.
In-app image processing further reduces electronic noise while preserving the details of the celestial object. You can also customize the image style to your liking and instantly share your stunning shots with others.

Images can be downloaded in JPEG or FITS format, and videos in MP4 or AVI format. The internal 128 GB storage ensures secure data transfer.

Using built-in sensors and star maps—combined with your smartphone's GPS—the Seestar automatically aligns itself with the night sky and performs calibration. The Seestar is incredibly easy to use and quick to master; you don't need to be an astronomy expert to achieve great photographic results! Autofocus makes focusing effortless, too. The Seestar’s autofocus ensures your images are always sharp and crisp—even in landscape photography!

The Best of the Night

Finding a rewarding celestial object is easy: simply select the object in the app on your phone (under "Tonight's Best"), and the Seestar automatically aligns with the target and begins tracking. Turn your smartphone or tablet into a telescope controller: with just a few taps, you can access a catalog of over 4,000 stars and deep-sky objects and view detailed information about your chosen target. Thanks to its built-in sensors, star maps, and innovative sky atlas, the device helps you plan your evening observing sessions.

The Best of the Day: The included solar filter attaches securely to the front of the lens via a magnetic mount. This transforms the Seestar into a telescope for photographing sunspots! 4K Dual Camera System with Wide-Angle Optics:

The S30 Pro is equipped with the Sony IMX585 1/1.2" color sensor, covering a 4.6° field of view. Light reaches the sensor through a quadruplet lens design. Both the sensor and the multi-element lens represent a significant improvement over the standard Seestar S30. Additionally, an integrated dew heater prevents the lens from fogging up.

But the Pro version offers even more: a Sony IMX586 color sensor for 63° wide-angle shots! The rectangular architecture of this sensor is ideal for landscape and nightscape photography—the latter capturing atmospheric images of the night sky with terrestrial objects in the foreground. The Seestar S30 Pro thus combines deep-sky and wide-angle photography in a single device!
This applies to daytime nature photography as well: use the Seestar S30 Pro to capture individual animals or entire landscapes!

Milky Way Panorama Mode: Known as "Milky Way Mode" by ZWO, this setting is ideal for capturing the Milky Way across a wide field of view. Yet it offers even more: the mode supports star trail and mosaic imaging. The telescope captures images of adjacent regions separately and stitches them into a single, large image. The mosaic stitching engine, improved for the Seestar Pro, transforms 4K captures into 8K composites.

Astronomical Photometry: The Pro version of the Seestar supports calibrated photometric measurements, enabling the observation of variable stars and the potential discovery of novae.

Using the included tripod, the Seestar operates in alt-azimuth mode by default. However, with appropriate accessories, it can also be set up in equatorial mode. This allows for longer... Exposure times.

The integrated 6000 mAh battery allows the Seestar to operate for approximately 6 hours (tested under laboratory conditions at ZWO). An external power bank can also be connected via USB-C.
