C11OTA Celestron C11 SC XLT - 280 / 2800mm optical tube

Each C11 has a hand retouched and clean finished look. The result is a high imaging quality, which is required especially in the observation of the moon and planets. In general, the resolution is limited only by the atmosphere (Seeing).

With a length of only about 60cm and a weight of about 12kg, the C11 is still quite portable and is still supported by relatively compact mounts.

280mm opening gives you spectacular views of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Bright objects are already showing their first colors, and in many gas nebulae the sight already reminds of good astrophotographies.



Astrophotography with the C11

It's no coincidence that so many star friends have been producing top-notch recordings for decades with the C11. The good optics, in connection with reasonable Feldebnungslinsen certainly an important reason. We offer under "recommended accessories" a sensible four-lens field lens and of course a very good Off Axis Guider for tracking.

Another point is certainly also in the transportability to find. 280mm aperture already produce high-resolution images of galaxies and planetary nebulae. XLT coating: Thanks to this multilayer anti-reflection coating, the Celestron lenses have a particularly high light transmission. In the particularly important wavelength range around 500nm up to 10% more light is brought into the eyepiece. Especially here, the human eye is also very sensitive.
