Celestron CPC 1100 GPS - GoTo Schmidt Cassegrain - 280/2800 GoTo SC Telescope

Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain 279 / 2800mm with diffraction-limited optics on a very stable mount with stainless steel tripod. Including complete GoTo control with over 40,000 objects in the database ...

The CPC series:

- excellent hand-corrected look
- one of the best remunerations of optics
- very easy to use electronics
- ready for all missions, up to photography
- very high stability with many power reserves
- robust stainless steel stand - adjustable in height

These are just a few of the features that set CPC devices apart from other devices.

The optics of the CPC 1100 GPS:

Each C - 11 has a hand retouched and clean finished look. The result is a high imaging quality, which is required especially in the observation of the moon and planets. In general, the resolution is limited only by the atmosphere (Seeing).
,

280mm opening gives you spectacular views of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Bright objects are already showing their first colors, and in many gas nebulae the sight already reminds of good astrophotographies. We definitely recommend our 2 "kit for the" Deep Sky Observation ", because only then can large-scale fogs be observed.

It is not by chance that the C11 is very popular with many astrophotographers. For decades, this instrument type has produced magnificent images. The reason is simple - for many, the C11 is a sensible frontier when it comes to transportability and optical performance.
The main advantages:
XLT coating: Thanks to this multilayer anti-reflection coating, the Celestron lenses have a particularly high light transmission. In the particularly important wavelength range around 500nm up to 10% more light is brought into the eyepiece. Especially here, the human eye is also very sensitive.
GPS: The CPC devices already have a GPS module installed, so you have the guarantee of the best possible calibration of the device and thus a very good setting of the objects in GoTo mode.
Sky Align - the very simple calibration in the starry sky

Sky Align is the name of Celestron's brand new alignment process. It is especially easy to use.

Step 1 ... Simply enter the date, time and location in the manual control box.
Step 2 ... Take the telescope to three bright stars (also moon / planets
are possible) You do not even need to know the three calibration objects, just
in the middle is enough. Your CPC is already calibrated and ready for observation.

Particularly sturdy stainless steel tripod: The completely redesigned tripod (landing pad) has a self-centering recording device - no search in the dark for the right attachment point for the mounting foot on the tripod. Turning the mount on the tripod locks the screw holes in the correct position. Three spring-loaded, captive anchored in the tripod screws allow quick and, above all, effortless assembly in seconds. The built-in circular level facilitates leveling. The large tripod triangle also serves as a storage area for several eyepieces.

Little noise: The CPC devices are characterized by particularly quiet running noise. Even the immediate neighborhood will not feel bothered, even at maximum positioning speed. We do not have a GoTo device with comparable opening in this price range, which is as quiet as the CPC.

On / off switch: Illuminated on / off switch on the top of the housing - no more searching in the dark.

Manual adjustment of both axes: Take advantage of the CPC as a Dobson - just put it down and get started. Large, grippy pinch wheels (glove suitable) in both axes instead of fiddly small clamping lever, allow the clamping or Entklemmung both axes, so you are not necessarily dependent on a power source for observation fun.

Can be combined with all known autoguiders and software: CPC devices have their own autoguider connection. There is also a connection to the RS 232 interface. CPC devices work with all known systems without problems.

Improved Positioning Accuracy During Observation: The Alignment Sync feature allows you to improve positioning accuracy during operation by confirming a new alignment object. This feature makes sense after a long observation time if the CPC is already being used in skies that are far away from the calibration stars.

Astrophotography with the CPC GPS Telescope:

Due to the stable mount, CPC devices are suitable for astrophotography without restriction. Exposure times up to 30 seconds are no problem even in azimuthal mode. Long exposure is of course possible, but you need a pile height cradle for this purpose.
Reduction of the periodic screw error: The CPC devices have an electronic reduction of the screw error. Thus accurately tracked stars are no problem. But also without P.E.C. is the tracking accuracy of the CPC devices high.

Particularly accurate centering of the objects with small chips: The "Precise Goto" function allows very faint objects to be brought extremely precisely to the center of the field of view or a CCD chip. First, a bright star near the searched object is selected by the electronics and approached. The observer then has to bring it with the arrow keys of the hand controller exactly in the center of the field of view. The computer then calculates the distance from this star to the searched object and drives it with high precision.

Exact arrangement with the pile height cradle - without polar finder: Astrophotography in the long exposure range demands highest accuracy in the arrangement. CPC devices can do this without the Polsucher. After calibration, activate the Polar menu. The device drives to the Polarstern. Center it by adjusting the azimuth and height of the pole height cradle to the center of the eyepiece or camera field of view. Afterwards calibrate the CPC a second time and the device is so accurately arranged that astrophotography is possible.

Particularly robust mechanics: In parallactic assembly with a pile height cradle, the mechanics are claimed much more. While many devices in azimuthal mode still provide good stability, they take on a pole height cradle rather the properties of a tuning fork. Constant tremor does not allow astrophotography. The CPC devices retain their stability on the massive pile height cradle (optional).
