Celestron CPC Deluxe 800 HD Goto Telescope

... opening 200mm / focal length 2000mm on modern azimuthal GoTo mount

The CPC Deluxe 800 HD combines the reworked fork mount with the new EdgeHD look. It is the most portable of the top series of fork-mounted Celestron telescopes. It is a powerful, fast-to-use visual observation device, and with the optional pole height cradle, it is also available for semi-professional astrophotography. With over 20 cm (8 inches) opening and the excellent StarBrightXLT coating, the telescope collects 800 times more light than the naked eye. The telescope shows you unimaginable details on Jupiter, the Cassini division in the Saturn rings and structures on the surface of Mars. Despite its large aperture and focal length, it is easy to carry thanks to the practical carrying handles and its weight of only around 20 kg - whether you only want to carry it in your garden or drive it to a dark observation point.

The innovations of the CPC at a glance:

- Highly corrected EdgeHD optics for maximum sharpness for visual and photographic use
- Main mirror detection and active ventilation to reduce cooling time
- Fully computer controlled azimuthal mount with tracking
- 15cm brass gear with 180 teeth / stainless steel screw for high-precision tracking
- Improved ball bearing of the axles
- with the optional pile height cradle, the CPC can be accurately nested on EVERY star
Neither Polsucher nor a clear view of the Polarstern are necessary
- optimized tension - even if the telescope is not balanced, the engines are always with
sufficient power supplied for accurate adjustment.
- solid stainless steel stand for optimum rigidity

The EHD optics - the new design:

The EdgeHD optics (Edge High Definition) combine the compact design of a Schmidt-Cassegrain with significantly improved image at the edge of the image. This optical system not only provides astrographic properties, but also produces totally undistorted, sharp images to the edge (= "edge") of the large visual and photographic field of view. Not only will the coma be corrected out of the optical axis - like other so-called "coma-free" optics designs available on the market - but also the field curvature! All EdgeHD telescopes provide a large flat field of view, which also provides a sharp star image at the edge of large CCD sensors.

Built-in GPS:

The CPC Deluxe HD Telescopes have a built-in GPS sensor that automatically receives the date, time and location from the GPS satellites. This eliminates the need to enter this data manually.

SkyAlign - Oak the telescope in the star sky WITHOUT hassle - easy:

... is Celestron's easy alignment method for perfect GoTo positioning. The telescope does not need a defined basic position any more: You put three bright stars in succession (also planets and the moon are possible) in the field of view of the telescope and voilá, your CPC telescope is ready for automatic GoTo positioning on any object from the database of the hand control.

From the routes of the three stars and the corresponding angles SkyAlign calculates the installation of your telescope. The additional data required for this (date, time, and location coordinates) "gets" SkyAlign via the integrated 16-channel GPS receiver.

"SkyAlign" works only in azimuthal operation of the telescope, so if the telescope without polar height cradle is operated directly on the tripod. But also for parallactic operation, Celestron has some new and simplified alignment techniques in the CPC series.

Extensive database:

The CPC telescope database contains more than 40,000 celestial objects, including the Messier and Caldwell catalogs, galaxies and nebulae from the NGC catalog, and the planets. You can narrow down the selection to simplify the search in this comprehensive database and hide the objects that are currently under the horizon.

The "Identify" feature tells you what you are seeing in the telescope and lets you easily explore the sky with it. Just point the telescope at any area of the sky and let's you see the next Messier objects, for example - the telescope will use them for you. You can do that in different sky areas and with different objects!

With "Solar Sys Align" you can also align the telescope during the day with the help of sun or moon to observe the planets or the brightest stars in the daytime sky.

Hyperstar compatible With all EdgeHD tubes, you can remove and replace the secondary mirror. The result: Your standard Celestron EdgeHD telescope with the optional HyperStar optics, a digital Schmidt design for your CCD or DSLR camera for primary focus photography at f / 2 (C8, C11), f / 2.3 (C925) and f / 1.9 (C14).
