This compact field Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is an answer to all SC devices, because the optical properties and the entire structure have been improved. The meniscus corrector, for example, is located directly in front of the secondary mirror. This means that the field Maksutov can do without a correction plate on the telescope opening, which is always very quickly covered with dew in light humidity anyway.
The long focal length enables detailed observations of planets, distant galaxies, individual lunar craters or lunar mountains, as well as numerous other celestial objects. A high-precision, specially coated spherical mirror provides an extremely sharp image of the objects being observed.
The open system means that the optics cool down more quickly and are therefore ready for use sooner. The extremely short length of just 510 mm also makes the telescope very portable.
Vixen has developed a unique aluminum vacuum vapor deposition system that produces extremely precise mirror surfaces. The revolutionary Vixen system enables the controlled coating of the main mirror, thus achieving greater accuracy. This coating is used in both the VMC200L/VC200L and the R200SS.
