C14 - Schmidt-Cassegrain - 356mm / 3910mm - optical tube

Celestron has been offering the C14 for decades. It has now earned the reputation as a powerful large optics among the star friends.

Many astro recordings in the network were made with a C14.

In many observatories, the C14 is also used because this powerful optics is still quite compact and thus provides enough space in the dome or in the sunroof hut.

We gladly combine the C14 with different mounts and make the device fit for the application of your choice.


Portable?

Well, the weight of only 20.4 kg with a length of about 78 cm still suggests a good transportability. Certainly, many amateurs carry devices with double dead weight. Seen in this way, it is in the eye of the beholder whether the C14 is still a transportable device or already a pure observatory device.

XLT coating: Thanks to this multilayer anti-reflection coating, the Celestron lenses have a particularly high light transmission. In the particularly important wavelength range around 500nm up to 10% more light is brought into the eyepiece. Especially here, the human eye is also very sensitive.
