The C-5 is a classic Schmidt Cassegrain and was, next to the C-8, one of the first Schmidt
Cassegrains at the market. The C-5 was even from NASA due to the good optical quality
used for some space shuttle missions. The picture quality of this compact telescope
is impressive.

As a rule, we do not have such good visibility conditions in our region - the ambient light (light pollution)
and weather-related losses are the rule. If you live in a city and watch from "Balkonien",
it is especially difficult. In the case of this device, the problems of so-called "seeing" are not so apparent due to the opening. A bigger one

C5OTA Celestron C5 XLT 125 / 1250mm optical tube

The optics of the C5 convinced by a high light intensity at relatively long focal length. So even under problematic lighting conditions impressive observations and photographs succeed.

A brighter picture by XLT Compensation

The C5 already has the best compensation from Celestron, the XLT compensation. The image will be up to 10% brighter than normal. More contrast and a more brilliant picture are the result.

Advantages of the Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain system:

Short construction:
Due to the combination of main mirror and curved deflecting mirror, the construction of the device can be kept short. This benefits the transportability.

No focus problems:
The sharpness is adjusted by adjusting the main mirror. This allows you to connect virtually all accessories, such as Bino approaches or corrector systems for astrophotography.

High rigidity:
