Celestron C6 SC XLT - 150 / 1500mm Schmidt Cassegrain Tube

Celestron C6 - Schmidt Cassegrain - 150mm aperture / 1500mm focal length

The C6 offers approximately 40% more light than a 5 "(125mm) refractor with significantly reduced transport, making it an ideal device for beginners and advanced users who value excellent optical performance with minimal transportation.

C6OTA Celestron C6 SC XLT 150 / 1500mm Schmidt Cassegrain Tube

As a rule, we do not have such good visibility conditions in our region - the ambient light (light pollution) and weather-related losses are the rule. Living in a city and watching from "balcony" is especially difficult. In the case of this device, the problems of so-called "seeing" are not so apparent due to the opening. A bigger one
Opening would have more difficulty delivering a calm picture. What use is more power through more opening, if the image blurs and the instrument can not show this performance? - Have I brought you to an important consideration? Then: Under the topic "advantages-disadvantages" - worth knowing for beginners and advanced -
on our home page smart, there is a lot of explanation!

This telescope lets you have a lot of success even under unfavorable conditions! A well-defined picture will bring you "closer to heaven". The best telescope is always where you look through the most and that gives you as often as possible beautiful experiences!

The optics:

The C-6 is a powerful and yet very portable Cassegrain optics. Celestron has closed a relatively large gap with this telescope and created a compact but very powerful system. Even 2 "accessories can be used with the C6, making the device even a full-field instrument.

A very suitable device for school astronomy. Cost-effective, it covers the different observation areas with a very good quality of the image and a stable alignment optics.
The insensitive optics brings an uncomplicated, enjoyable observation with it.

Low magnification eyepieces for deep sky objects (galaxies, nebulae, star clusters) and planet / moon eyepieces (with shorter focal length and thus higher magnification power), possibly also with a Barlow lens in good visibility conditions, cover the entire area from our observations.

With a tracked mount, the steps to astrophotography are not difficult to implement. Especially with the moon and the planets you can easily and easily achieve good results with this device.
Programs for editing the images are available as freeware - please let us advise you.

The focus on internal focusing:

The advantages of focusing by adjusting the main mirror are undisputed. The only drawback, tilting the mirror, while moving (shifting) has eliminated Celestron. Even at the highest magnification the picture stops. No moving of the picture disturbs the exact focus.

Particularly flexible due to the rear connection thread and the inner focus:

Here are a few examples of the interesting accessories:

- Cameras (easy adaptation via adapter to T2)
- 2 "eyepieces for better overview with good illumination - we offer a complete 2" kit for the C6
- Binocular approaches for binocular observation - no problem with the adjustment of sharpness

The C-6 is a powerful telephoto lens for astrophotography and nature photography. You get via the T2 adapter easily any camera to the device.

For extended fog regions we offer a focal length reduction to 1: 6.3. This will give you a better field of vision and light intensity.

XLT coating: Thanks to this multilayer anti-reflection coating, the Celestron lenses have a particularly high light transmission. In the particularly important wavelength range around 500nm up to 10% more light is brought into the eyepiece. Especially here, the human eye is also very sensitive.

Advantages of the Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain system:

Short construction:
Due to the combination of main mirror and curved deflecting mirror, the construction of the device can be kept short. This benefits the transportability.

No focus problems:
The sharpness is adjusted by adjusting the main mirror. This allows you to connect virtually all accessories, such as Bino approaches or corrector systems for astrophotography

High rigidity:
Even long exposures are possible with the Celestron SC System, with no tube bending problems.

Simple adaptation:
The Schmidt Cassegrain can easily be adapted to different types of mountings. A universal prism rail is always included in the basic equipment. Likewise, the C5 offers the direct connection for good photo tripods.

Technical data of the optics:

- Opening: 150mm
