Experience with N-EQ5 SynScan Goto mount and 200PDS Newton telescope

Here's the review of the Skywatcher NEQ5 mount:

The Newton 200 PDS mount is very stable, there's absolutely no wobble – maybe a slight wobble when focusing, but it's not particularly noticeable even at very high magnifications.

The NEQ5 really makes a solid and high-quality impression, especially for the price. There's no play in the axes or worm gears, or you adjusted them perfectly. You can adjust and track the objects perfectly, sensitively, and evenly using the worm gears. Really great! The grease used by the company has also been improved; it's more usable. It no longer sticks, and the mount doesn't move as stiffly as previous models.

The loose polar finder scope covers can be easily remedied – with a little manual skill, glue in thin strips of cardboard, and they hold perfectly.

The polar finder wasn't particularly misaligned, but minor adjustments were necessary. This was surprisingly quick and easy. Using the polar finder app, the mount was then perfectly aligned to the celestial pole. The new generation of polar finders makes polar alignment much easier. This NEQ5 is truly worlds better in terms of quality, stability, etc., than any I've encountered before – e.g., the Meade LXD75 or the Bresser Mon2. I recommend you only buy from telescope specialists; you can get better quality at a really good price. Furthermore, the products are inspected and checked before shipping, which may not be the case with other sellers.
