The three-lens ED special-purpose glass microchrometers from Explore Scientific offer everything that makes the heart of amateur astronomers beat faster - at a modest price. The three-lined construction with Hoya FCD01-ED special glass and two air gaps enables a correction which is clearly visible above the level of the two-lined ED apostles which are otherwise available in this price class. A computational polystring of more than 0.9 indicates a very clear language compared to the 0.8x possible with two lenses. This superior imaging performance combined with a solid mechanics results in a package that leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, an image panier is available as an optional accessory for photography - so the device can also be used without any restrictions. The length of the tube has been optimized so that accessories with a critical focus can also be used. For all Explore Scientific ED apochromats, a triplet lens with air gap and Hoya "FCD-1 special lens for excellent imaging performance for visual use and photography. The new ED 80 Essential Apos is now equipped with a high-end 2.5" Hexafoc DeLuxe The special geometry of this focusser with hexagonal eyepiece extension tube and corresponding prism guide ensures a stiffness that even with focusers of the € 500 class can keep up with The new Essential Apos is equipped with the DeLuxe version of this high precision focusser with a 10: 1 adjustment. Even heavy cameras are easily carried by this focuser, which makes the photography with our Explore Scientific Essential a pleasure.
