Meade ACF-SC 203/2000 LightSwitch GoTo The new innovative Lightswitch technology completely eliminates the difficulties that beginners sometimes have with the alignment of a telescope. After switching on, the telescope is completely optimally self-sufficient without further input. Equipped with an integrated sensor module (ISM), which in addition to GPS also contains sensors for Level North Technology (LNT) and the new ECLIPS CCD camera, the new, patented alignment using Lightswitch Technology replaces the human eye.

After switching on, the telescope's GPS receiver calculates the current time and location of the device. The alignment is then specified using two stars, which are captured by the camera and compared to an internally generated, current star chart. The telescope is now aligned without the need for interactive user input. Featuring a simple user interface and a high-sensitivity, low-noise, large-field digital camera, the user can create high-resolution images of the night sky that can be stored on an SD card, or retrieved instantly via the telescope's video output.

Using the built-in speaker and video output, the Astronomer Inside introduces the user to the most beautiful celestial objects and provides a sky encyclopedia that provides audio and video footage of an interactive guided tour of hundreds of deep-sky objects.

The optical performance of the Meade ACF, in combination with unbeatable customer-friendly pricing, has set new standards. The Meade ACF optics in the new Lightswitch is thus the classic Schmidt-Cassegrain optics, which is installed in many currently available Consumerteleskopen, superior by far.
