Optimization of the focuser of the TLAPO0804

In a few TLAPO0804 models, the focuser may twist slightly when unscrewed and then return to its original orientation.

This is due to excessive play between the focuser groove (14 mm wide) and the helical rack (12.6 mm wide).

This can be corrected, but it requires some time and patience.

The following steps are performed.

Remove the focuser. This can be easily removed from the tube thanks to the thread.
 

2. Remove the eyepiece clamp on the OAZ. This also has a thread.





3. Remove the inner tube. The groove in the OAZ will then become visible:




 

4. A Teflon strip with a thickness of 0.4 mm is glued to one side of the groove.

5. Reassemble the whole thing in reverse order. This game should be a thing of the past.
