Both visually and photographically, this selected triplet lens offers a performance that is equal to the Russian lenses. Even on the optical bench, practically no differences will be visible. Of course, a good optics only requires the best mechanics. As an eyepiece extract only the 2.5 "Feather Touch comes into question.

The result is a powerful transportable APO telescope for amateur astronomers who want to have the maximum optical power from 102mm aperture.

Reducer

In the construction of this telescope we have thought of astrophotographers who want to use an extreme full-format flattener or a reducer. But also to visually observing star friends, who want to work with a Herschel prism or also with a Bino approach without glass path compensation.

The 102mm f / 6.86 FPL-53 lens of the TS Super Apo:

Even at magnifications of more than 250 fold, the image remains snow-white. No color error will be visible. If the telescope is used for astrophotography, even bright stars will not show blue fringing, as is the case with duplex lenses or triplet lenses with FPL-51 or similar apo elements.

Every TS 102mm Super Apo is tested before forwarding to our optical bench to guarantee a consistently high delivery quality. Obviously, the triplet lens with air gap is stored in a temperature-compensated and adjustable cell.

Our approach is:
Too much backfocus, as too little, because too little back focus can only be compensated with tube shortening and who wants to saver at his tube.

Thanks to the RISER from Starlight the star friend himself can determine his backfocus, which is ideal for his applications, by simply "lengthening" the tube with these parts. This creates an individuality, which is actually only achieved by telescopes with divisible tubes. The RISER can be found in our accessories.

The 2.5 "Starlight Feather Touch Eyepiece Extractor:

A precise adjustment and precise clamping is enormously important for astrophotography. Furthermore, the eyepiece support carries the heaviest accessories up to approx. 7kg !!! Without losing its good qualities. The long travel distance of 89mm allows nearly all applications without additional spacers.
