Sky-Watcher's new top-of-the-line Esprit EDX telescopes with 3-element ED apochromatic optics are premium instruments of the highest quality with truly impressive performance, equal to or even superior to comparable telescopes from well-known high-end telescope brands.

Esprit EDX Super Apo Triplets were designed primarily for the discerning astrophotographer, but also as a fine telescope for the visual observer. The premium, superbly corrected optical system delivers detailed images with the highest contrast and imperceptible chromatic aberration, even on the brightest objects with exceptional contrast and sharpness.

The Esprit-100EDX features the same exceptional f/5.5 optics as the previous model, featuring a premium Japanese Ohara FPL-53 ED glass lens. Every glass-to-air surface has been coated with an exotic anti-reflective metal coating to achieve a maximum light transmission of 99.5%. Sky-Watcher's proprietary "Metallic High-Transmission Coating" (MHTC) is the highest-quality anti-reflective coating in its class!

The Esprit-100EDX features an improved focuser design with a Crayford focuser like the previous model and an even easier rotation mechanism. Additionally, the connection adapter can be rotated for easier field adjustment. For added convenience, the telescope is equipped with a carrying handle. The extremely stable, CNC-machined dual-speed rack-and-pinion linear power focuser offers a high payload and zero backlash, and is equipped with a 3" drawtube with a scale. The telescope is delivered in a sturdy case with an aluminum frame and foam lining.

A matching field flattener (20188) is available for photography as an option.

The telescope is supplied without eyepieces, diagonal, or finderscope!
