Use 2" filter on photo lens for astrophotography
As a beginner (I've never photographed with a filter in front of my lens), I think the design of the rings and the adapter to M48 is absolutely fantastic. Mounting the ring into the lens's filter thread is incredibly simple. If necessary, simply screw another ring into the other ring. And then add the M48 adapter. The great thing is, the design isn't bulky at all. I imagine the clip-on filters would be a bit more complicated.
The TA306 and TS2-M58 adapters are required. These can be ordered from us and cost around ¤50.00 together.
Last night, I tried the filter for the first time on the Pac Man fog. The fog was quite low, practically over the neighbor's roof. The moon was "disturbing" from behind, and the streetlight from the side. And my yard light was constantly going on and off 😅.
The sky was relatively hazy.
The image is a stack of 20 images, each 25 seconds long, at ISO 3200 (perhaps a bit too high). Stacked in the app, stretched in graXpert, and minimally edited in Lightroom.
I can say I'm absolutely thrilled with the filter 😊
