Meade has revised its celebrated camera series Deep Sky Imager (DSI) and with Version IV offers advanced technology for almost all requirements of astrophotography: A powerful Panasonic 16MP CMOS sensor, a controlled two-stage thermoelectric cooling system for low-noise long exposures and 3.8µm small pixels for detailed shots. The DSI-IV is therefore a real all-purpose camera for photographing the moon, planets, nebulae and galaxies (deep sky) - and it is also lightweight, so that even smaller focusers and mounts can carry the camera safely.

The integrated DDRAM memory and the USB 3.0 interface ensure extremely low-noise transmission of the data at 23 fps at full resolution for planetary photography!
The latest version of the recording software Meade SkyCapture makes the use of additional programs unnecessary. The software runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
USB 2.0 hub: Two USB ports on the camera can be used to supply power to other accessories, such as a filter wheel and a focus motor.
The camera can be connected to the telescope either via the T2 thread (M42x0.75) or via the supplied 2" socket.
In addition to the power pack for cooling and the USB 3.0 cable, the accessories also include a sturdy carrying case.

color or mono? Black and white cameras have the advantage of higher sensitivity and resolution compared to color cameras. However, the effort for a colored image is higher: you need color filters and a filter wheel.
