Skywatcher automatic stepper motor tracking for EQ5/NEQ5

Stepper motor control for RA axis with control for EQ5/NEQ5 mounts to compensate for earth rotation

The motor with control is for Skywatcher´s EQ5/NEQ5 parallactic mounts, it attaches to the RA axis of the mount and compensates for the apparent movement of the stars from east to west.

When the motor is switched on, the targeted object remains in the field of view. Observations over a longer period of time are possible.

Perfect control by the stepper motor control

The speed of the tracking is perfectly maintained. The stepper motor is crystal controlled. Furthermore, you have the possibility to change the tracking speed to position the object in the eyepiece (factor 2x and 8x).

 

Astrophotography

Due to the precise tracking and the possibility to change the speed via the hand control box, astrophotography is possible with the EQ-1 mount. Moon and planets can be photographed very well and also the recording of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies becomes possible.
