    Baader Wide-T-Ring for connecting Sony E/Nex DSLR cameras to the standard T-2 thread
    All Baader Wide-T rings have an S52 dovetail mount in addition to the insert ring on T-2. This allows the T-ring to be modified to an M48 internal thread using the S52/M48 adapter #2958552, or to use the S52 socket #2958551 without the constriction on T-2. With the S52/M68 adapter #2458252, the wide T-ring can be adapted directly to an M68 external thread in order to screw your camera tightly with the largest possible opening.
    With the optional Baader UFC S52 dovetail camera adapter (#2459119), all wide T-rings can be adapted directly to a UFC filter drawer in order to be able to change filters of different sizes directly in front of the chip.
    On the one hand, the ultra-short back focus/back focus of just 26.3mm (18mm camera, 8.3mm T2 bayonet ring) means that many adaptations in conjunction with reducers/filter wheels are now possible for the first time. Furthermore, the illumination of the camera chip improves significantly, also because of the larger, clear width.

The Sony Alpha 7 cameras - especially 7S and 7SII - are astronomically very interesting because of their high sensitivity, low height and weight. For the shortest possible adaptation to backfocus-sensitive systems such as Hyperstar or fast Newtonians, we have therefore developed a T-ring for Sony E-Mount/NEX bayonet, which is extremely short and extends the 18mm backfocus of the camera body by only 8.3 mm. Since all other T-rings of the same design on the market with T-2 strongly vignette the beam path, we have used the tried and tested system of our Protective EOS T-rings for this T-ring and, in addition to the usual T-2 thread, also M48 and even an S52 adaptation option is implemented. A 2" receptacle (# 2958551) with an S 52 dovetail ring is available, which can be clamped directly into the S52 receptacle in our e/NEX-T-ring. Due to the large free opening of 46 mm, this 2" receptacle delivers to the SONY Alpha 7 cameras have a vignetting-free image field. BAADER UNIVERSAL FILTER CHANGER (UFC): EXAMPLE OF SIMPLE PHOTOGRAPHIC USE (PART 7)

We've been asked a few times recently how to use the Baader UFC with a DSLR and a wide field refractor. We would therefore like to show a few possible configurations here.   Let's start on the telescope side. In all inquiries we received, the telescope had a 2" focuser. The UFC base (to which everything from the UFC system is connected) has an S70 ring dovetail on the telescope side. The UFC overview diagram above shows us the Baader UFC S70 / 2" UNF (w) telescope adapter (height: 1 mm) (#2459128, € 23,-) with which the 2"/SC external thread can be used. The 2" socket with locking groove (T-2 component #19) (#2408155, € 35,-) or the 2" Safety-Kerf socket - ultra-hard (T-2 component #19A) (#2408156, € 35,-) The next picture shows the latter socket on the UFC S70 2"/SC adapter. With each of these two sleeves, the UFC fits normally into a telescope with a 2" focuser.
