Starizona 1.25" field flattener for short focal length refractors
The flattener is optimized for astrophotography with astrocameras and system cameras through compact refractors and finder telescopes. These compact telescopes have a very curved field of view. This distorts the stars off-center to streaks, and the image becomes blurry. This flattener corrects this error and allows wide field astrophotography with very good results.

For which cameras is the EvoFF suitable:
The working distance of the corrector is between 21 mm and 34 mm from the T2 thread, depending on the focal length of the refractor. Therefore, the corrector is not suitable for DSLR cameras. System cameras and of course astro cameras, like ASI cameras from ZWO, can be used very well with this corrector.

For which telescopes is the EvoFF suitable:
The corrector is designed for small and fast refractors. The focal length is between 240 mm and 450 mm. The adaption of the corrector is done via the 1.25" sleeve.

The refractor must have sufficient backfocus. The corrector is especially well suited for the Skywatcher EvoGuide 50ED and for the TS ED finder TSSU1060ED.

Required backfocus (working distance) from the T2 thread to the sensor:

♦ 250 mm focal length - 34 mm working distance
♦ 300 mm focal length - 28 mm working distance
♦ 350 mm focal length - 25 mm working distance
♦ 400 mm focal length - 23 mm working distance
♦ 450 mm focal length - 21 mm working distance

The T2 thread of the corrector does not count, as it disappears in the connection adapter. Suitable T2 extensions and tuning rings are linked in the accessories section.

Astrophotography through the TSSU1060ED and B1060Vario and EvoFF:
The TS finder has a fast 60 mm f/4.13 ED lens and offers good color correction. To adapt the corrector to the T2 female thread, you need:

♦ TSHeli1 - Helical focuser with micro adjustment. The helical focuser allows precise focusing with fixation and makes the transition to 1.25". When focusing, the camera does not rotate with it, and the orientation of the image field is maintained.

The working distance from the T2 thread of the EvoFF is 34 mm. For a cooled ZWO camera with 17.5 mm you only need the 16.5 mm T2 distance ring, which is included in the camera package.

Astrophotography through the Skywatcher EvoGuide 50ED
The Skywatcher EvoGuide 50ED has a doublet ED lens with 50 mm aperture and fast f/4.8. The finder offers a good helical extension and a 1.25" plug-in sleeve. So you can easily adapt the corrector.

The working distance from the T2 thread of the EvoFF is 34 mm. For a cooled ZWO camera with 17.5 mm, you only need the 16.5 mm T2 spacer, which is included with the camera.
