♦ Stable focuser for Newtonian self-construction and upgrading of Newtonian telescopes
♦ Eyepiece side connections: 2", 1.25" and T2
♦ Additional M55x1 thread (female) for screwed adaptions
♦ Length of the drawtube: 115 mm to the 2" connector or 102 mm to the M54 female thread
♦ 1:10 dual speed for accurate focusing
♦ Telescope connection: Stable adapter plate - hole spacings 86.5 mm lengthwise and 78 mm crosswise to the tube
♦ Does not fit to the blue Newtonians, at least not to all of them
The focuser is suitable for retrofitting the black Explorer-150/200/250/300P Newtonian reflector telescopes that were sold with a 2" focuser without dual-speed capability. The #20241 focuser fits directly to these telescopes. No conversion work is needed.
Furthermore, the focuser is a recommendation for amateur telescope making. The well-dimensioned ball bearings hold even heavy accessories. The focuser is ideal for astrophotography with long coma correctors like the TSGPU. The corrector completely disappears in the drawtube.
The focuser comes with a short 2" adaption, a 2" extension for visual use and a reduction adapter to T2 and 1.25".
Note: The blue Newtonians sometimes have different distances of the screws and the drawtube diameter is also different. Please measure the separation before ordering.
