♦ 2" filter mounted with M48x0.75 threaded connection - low profile filter cell
♦ Suitable for monochrome and color cameras
♦ Can be used with all telescopes, also with fast apos, we suggest telescopes from f/3 or slower
♦ The filter is very suitable for images of diffuse nebulae and planetary nebulae.
♦ Artificial sky brightening (stray light) is practically completely blocked.
♦ High-quality antireflection coating
♦ Scratch-resistant hard coating
♦ 2.5 mm thickness - parfocal to other IDAS filters
♦ Infrared light is blocked
♦ IDAS filters are produced in Japan
The NBZ filter is a dual line pass filter that can be used with one-shot color cameras (DSLR, system cameras, color astro cameras) and monochrome cameras.
The NBZ filter passes the red H-alpha line and the blue-green [O III] lines and increases the contrast. You get narrow band images with only one exposure series.
The special feature of the NBZ nebula filter is that it is also suitable for very fast optics from f/1.4. Other narrow band filters cut off too much. So instead of 90% there can be only 30-40% light transmission / transmission. The nebula is hardly visible. Not so with the NBZ, even at f/1.4 you still have over 90%. This makes the filter ideal for fast camera lenses at full aperture, Celestron RASA, Starizona Hyperstar and of course for very fast apos.
