Omegon infrared blocking filter UV / IR 1.25"

CCD sensors are sensitive over a very wide spectral range, extending well into the infrared. This is especially noticeable when shooting with short-focal-length and fast-aperture refractors. A barely visible, very noisy, and blurry double image behind the actual image can ruin a truly great shot.

The transmission of the blocking filter is optimized to block out the unwanted IR and UV range, allowing only visible light to pass through.

The filter has a 1.25" filter thread and can be easily screwed into the camera adapter or an eyepiece.
