Explore Scientific Ultralight Dobson 254mm Grid Tube Dobson

Explore Scientific Ultralight Dobson 254mm
Modern 254mm grid tube dobson in a full aluminum construction
Modern catch mirror construction - the catch mirror holder is tool-free and can be operated without any adjustment
Modern main mirror cell - the main mirror is adjustable from the front during observation and sits in a modern cell with radial roller bearing and 9-point floatation system
Large elevation wheels allow shaking and jerky movement even at higher magnifications
The hat and the elevation wheels fit into the rocker box, the mirror box is complete with a lid for transportation, so that you only have to transport two aluminum rods and a bundle of rods.
Extremely high stiffness of the construction
Baptism test by full aluminum construction: No more swelling pressboard boards by the exclusive use of aluminum and other metals
Two radial main flow fans for fast temperature adjustment

No telescope type has changed the amateur astronomy as much as the Dobson telescopes. Before the Dobson telescope was presented by John Dobson, the overwhelming majority of amateur telescopes consisted of small lens telescopes with primitive mechanics - just enough to be able to guess the polar caps of Mars or the rings of Saturn. Larger telescopes, such as Schmidt-Cassegrains, were reserved for a well-heeled clientele. The brilliant combination of simple but effective mechanics with the widest possible opening has given the Dobson telescope a unique triumphal procession worldwide. Nowhere do you get so much light for your money as with a good Dobson.

We have taken the principle of "Held together by gravity and driven by yogurt power (sustained by gravity, and powered by yoghur energy)" and created a completely newly constructed modern Dobson telescope with grating tube tube. The dismountability of the device allows trouble-free transport of this large device even in small cars - the assembly is completely tool-free within a few minutes. The entire design has been optimized for maximum stiffness without neglecting the weight. The combination of large height wheels with an optimized aluminum sandwich construction enables finest correction movements at the highest magnifications. The focus has already been prepared for the use of our Komakorrektor. The ideal workhorse for the Deep-Sky observer. A device with 305mm mirror diameter collects more than 1800 times as much light as the naked eye. Details on the planet are also visible to untrained observers, and countless deep-sky objects show structures. Bright star clusters are dissolved down to the core, and the sight of the Terminator on the Moon becomes an unforgettable experience.

Transport dimensions for mobile use: Rockerbox 395mmx395mmx310mm; Mirror box 330mmx330mmx295mm; Rod length approx. 700mm
Insight height in center position approx. 1.15m

10 "Total weight: 26.4kg; 10 "Mirror box: 14 kg; 10 "Top with Reflector + Rockerbox: 9.7 kg; 10 "4 strut pairs: 1,5kg; 10 "height wheels pair: 1,2kg
