All Newton telescopes should be adjusted before the first use and then regularly to get a sharp image. We therefore adjust all our Newton before they leave our house.
This telescope is controlled by us before delivery and in any case pre-adjusted.
How we adjust: About us
Dobson are often ideal telescopes for beginners: simple to set up, intuitively in operation and a very good price-performance ratio with regard to large opening and high stability.
The Skywatcher's Dobson features a large 150mm aperture and a 1200mm focal length as well as a parabolic main mirror, providing ideal conditions for detailed moon and planet observation. The opening ratio of f / 8 ensures very high contrast and sharp images. Thus, the atmospheric bands (clouds) of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn and also Venus are wonderful to observe.
Even brighter deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and Andromeda are beautiful viewing objects.
The telescope sits on a so-called rocker box, which forms a stable, shudder-free substructure. The desired celestial objects can thus be targeted by sliding on the tube.
The tripod plate runs on plain bearings and the telescope can be rotated into the desired direction of the sky (azimuth) by the lateral handles. At the same time, you can control the speed in the angular orientation (height) and thus also clamp it.
There is a shelf for eyepieces at the Rockbox.
Easy and stable in handling the all in one equipment, especially very suitable for kids!
Product advantages:
Note:
In the case of lunar observations we also recommend a lunar filter for more depth and protection of the eyes.
For planetary observations, we recommend a double barlow lens.
As a dobson, the telescope is not adjustable in height, such as a tripod.
