The compact yet very powerful Starquest DX102MC Maksutov Cassegrain telescope with a 102mm aperture is ideal for observing double stars, details on the lunar surface, or even bright planets. The Maksutov Cassegrain is a Catadioptic design, which utilizes a primary mirror and a front corrector, effectively folding the long focal length into a compact telescope tube. The high-resolution, long-focal-length optics are multicoated for maximum contrast and image sharpness.

The new generation Starquest DX mount is a high-quality, lightweight mount, suitable for both beginners and experienced observers thanks to its ease of use. Once aligned to Polaris, the mount allows for easy tracking of celestial objects using the flexible shafts. The mount offers a maximum payload of 5 kg and comes on a sturdy, height-adjustable stainless steel tripod for maximum stability. The mount is equipped with 360° drives in the right ascension and declination axes. An optional DC motor drive (No. 20940) can be attached to the right ascension axis for automatic tracking. The set includes a smartphone adapter for those first attempts at photographing the night sky.
