Skywatcher EVOSTAR-90 (AZ3 Mount) 90mm 900mm Refractor Telescope

The optics Skywatcher AC 90/900:

This optics has an achromatic lens. A lens combination of 2 lenses already corrects most color errors. In the observation one has no longer as many interfering color fringing as is the case with normal Fraunhofer refractors. The opening ratio of 1:10 causes an additional one. Overall, this optics is ideal for beginners to carry out first attempts with sky observations. Even children with this relatively uncomplicated optics quickly clear. The Skywatcher AZ-3 is a practical azimuthal mount with high comfort and stability.
It can serve as the basis for earth observation and sky observation, while telescopes and spectroscopes up to a max. Weight of 5 Kg (refractors up to 120 mm opening and mirror up to 150 mm diameter).

The AZ-3 has a horizontal quick adjustment with clamping, as well as a vertical quick adjustment with slip clutch. A fine adjustment with flexible shafts is available for both axes. The tracking is absolutely jerk-free and makes fine adjustment possible even with large magnifications.

The vertical tilt angle can be adjusted from 50 degrees to + 90 degrees. Thus, the AZ-3 simultaneously allows for a movement from the horizon to almost the zenith and a 360 ° turn. Thus, the AZ-3 mount is equally suitable for earth observation and sky observation. The telescope is attached by means of pipe clamps.
