The most popular size among Schmidt-Cassegrains with 200mm
This 8 inch opening size (up to 203mm) is the most popular size among SCs. They come with a lot of light collecting power and a large focal length and are still quite easy to handle in size and weight. Their mounting requirements are still manageable.
That and its diverse range of observation (from planets to deep sky objects) makes it THE all-round telescope par excellence. The best known SC of this type are Celestron C8 or the Meade ACF-SC series and RASA 8 ''.
