Where you can practice Astronomy

There are several observation places for fast or ausgibiges "Spechteln" suitable or even less.
Important to know what you can expect from each course:

1. From the room through the open window

This is possible if need be. It is important to know that the house wall gives off heat and air exchange takes place through the window to the outside, and as visually effective veil flows upward. Here the picture by this moving air is adversely affected and the details are "washed out" at high magnifications, like in the summer when you look at an irradiated by the sun tar road. The angle of view is very limited upward and one can only observe a small region of the sky.

Using a Dobsonian you will not be able to observe on the window sill to end because the rocker is on the ground and the design does not allow it. Besides smaller Dobson, which must be placed on the table. But beware: The insight at a Dobson, (the rocker, the mount on which the Newton is stored, and the telescope, Newton, called Dobson) are front so that could be a risk that you might stumble forward and accessories which was placed on the windowsill can fall down!

Better does a telescope on a tripod, as is mounted higher and is operated on a mount.

2. From the balcony

Here the same applies as for the observation through the window. As is often the view less affected by the above.
This can also be a Dobson works well if the balcony is deep enough.
Lunar and planetary observations are quite possible here.

Tip: Turn on as many  lights as you can (room lighting, etc.). Be arware of the fact,
particularly in winter, that no heat sources (eg. the open window of you) distort the image.

3. Prior to the garage in the backyard, in the garden or on the street (village, town, city)

This is also a possibility that works. A good help to protect your eyes from the possibly illuminating the neighbors and the street lights (the so called dark adaptation) to avoid looking at bright light sources, including help sunglasses.

Tip: Use the "dark" side of the house, say those who may artificial sources of light shields.

4. In the field

This means you have to transport the telescope to "flee" as far as possible from towns and villages and their lighting sources. Clever selected and protected
places (eg. wind protected, shielded from artificial light sources at high altitudes / mountains) offers the best conditions for undisturbed and wonderful observation pleasure.
