Products description
Hutech IDAS LPS-D2 nebula filter for astrophotography 2" M48 mounted
Hutech IDAS LPS D2 nebula filters offer even better color balance for DSLR and color astro cameras for astrophotography even from close to the city.
♦ Mounted filter with M48x0.75 - 2" filter screw thread
♦ Improved color balance for SLR cameras and one-shot color astro cameras, for example ASI color cameras cooled or uncooled from ZWO.
♦ The LPS-D2 nebula filter enables an exposure time that is approximately 3x longer than without a filter and thus significantly improves the contrast.
♦ All important lines in which fog shines are allowed through, the contrast is significantly increased.
♦ The filter also offers a contrast increase when photographing star clusters and galaxies.
♦ The LPS-D2 filter suppresses the bands of high-pressure sodium vapor lamps and also the LED spectrum.
♦ Scratch-resistant hard coating for the best possible longevity
♦ Made in Japan!
Hutech IDAS LPS-D2 fog filter of the latest generation
IDAS is one of the pioneers when it comes to developing modern and effective fog filters to suppress scattered light from cities. These filters enable astrophotography even from close to the city and produce the best possible results. Ida's nebula filters significantly increase contrast and enable longer exposure times with DSLR, color and monochrome astro cameras.
The IDAS LPS-D2 nebula filter has been specially developed for color cameras. The filter offers better color balance than comparable filters on DSLRs and also on modern one-shot color cameras with CMOS sensors, such as those offered by ZWO. Of course, the filter also brings a significant improvement with mono cameras, for example in luminance recording.
The exposure time can be extended by a factor of around 3. This means you can expose about 3x longer than without a filter before the sky background becomes visible. The light from the nebulae, on the other hand, passes through almost unhindered. This significantly increases the contrast and nebulae can be photographed even from close to cities that are otherwise not within the photographic range of the telescope. Even with galaxies and star clusters, the LPS-D2 filter provides a significant improvement.
The LPS-D2 filter also suppresses high pressure sodium emissions and the LED spectrum. Modern lighting, such as LED, also changes the spectrum of disturbing scattered light for astrophotography. The new IDAS LPS-D2 filter takes this situation into account by also suppressing these lines.
