Optolong L-Quad Enhance Filter - Quad band pass filter to suppress light pollution
The L-QEF suppresses light pollution from mercury and sodium lamps and produces a beautiful broadband image with minimal color cast. This filter is a broadband filter that suppresses the wavelengths of light pollution. It is well suited for star clusters, dark and reflection nebulae, and galaxies in light-polluted skies.
The L-Quad Enhance Filter (L-QEF) is a quadruple bandpass filter for suppressing light pollution for color cameras. It effectively suppresses the wavelength range of light pollution, especially the light pollution caused by artificial lighting (including mercury and sodium vapor lamps) as well as the effects of natural sky light effects on the recording, effectively improving the contrast and details of celestial bodies and making the objects more clear and vivid. This filter ensures better color balance and improves resistance to light pollution.
The L-QEF can be used for wide-angle astrophotography, such as B. the Milky Way in summer and winter, as well as for deep sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, etc.; This allows you to save a lot of time when recording and get better results at the same time. The quadruple bandpass design optimizes the color balance of nebulae, galaxies and other broadband spectral objects.
Key features:
♦ Suppresses light pollution from mercury and sodium vapor lamps and produces a beautiful, broadband image with minimal color cast
♦ Increases signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
♦ Cut-off in the near IR range up to 1000 nm, reducing the effects of IR interference - unlike the Antlia AN-QUAD-2
♦ The L-QEF has a transmittance of more than 90% for the emission lines of the nebulae at Hβ/[O III]/Hα/[S II], with a blocking of OD2 to OD4, which significantly increases the immunity to light pollution. L-QEF is good for the night sky from Bortle 1 to Bortle 7 (not recommended for Bortle 8 or Bortle 9 environments, please choose Optolong's other, much narrower band filters, 3nm and 7nm filter types are available) .
♦ Suitable for a wide range of deep sky objects: It covers most nebulae, galaxies, star clusters as well as other astronomical objects with reflected and emitted light with higher contrast and rich detail while maintaining excellent color balance. The L-QEF is superior to other filters of the same type.
