TS Optics 70mm f / 6 Reiseapo with high quality ED doublet lens
This ED refractor is an ideal telescope for travel and for mobile use. Thanks to the aluminum tube, the telescope weighs only 2.2 kg and thanks to the retractable dew cap it is only 300 mm short. No other telescope in this class offers this.
The high-quality ED lens shows sharp and high-contrast images and enables magnifications up to 200x. Thanks to the improved 2 "Crayford focuser, the refractor is very well suited for observation, astrophotography and landscape photography.
The advantages and product features of the TS 70mm ED at a glance:
♦ fully adjustable 2-element lens - multi-coating on all glass-air surfaces
♦ 2 "Crayford focuser with 2", 1.25 "plug connection - focusing with micro-reduction
♦ 360 ° rotation of the focuser
♦ retractable dew cap for easier transport
♦ Reducers and correctors for astrophotography available
Observe with the TS 70mm f / 6 ED:
The TS 70mm ED refractor is a great telescope for all areas of observation. Thanks to the stable 2 "focuser, you can also use 2" accessories. The picture is brighter and more contrasting than with comparable spotting scopes. With the 2 "wide-angle eyepiece TSWA38 you can achieve an extreme field of view of 6.3 °. Ultimate large field observations are possible.
On the other hand, the well-corrected ED lens enables magnifications of up to about 200 times without annoying color errors. This allows you to recognize details on the moon, structures on planets or separate distant double stars.
Thanks to the universal connection plate, you can easily mount the ED refractor on photo tripods like a spotting scope. With the appropriate prism rails you can achieve a stable attachment to azimuthal and parallactic mounts.
The TS 70mm f / 6 ED refractor is very well suited for astrophotography.
The precise focuser and the bright optics make the 70 mm ED a good telescope for astrophotography. In order to correct the image field for the photography of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies (deep sky photography), we recommend the following correctors, these are also linked in the accessories area.
TSFLAT2 - flexible corrector with a long working distance
The focal length and the aperture ratio are not changed. The corrector is ideal for DSLR cameras and also CCD cameras with larger sensors. The recommended working distance from the M48 thread is 125.5 mm.
The adapter TSFA240 offers a simple adaptation. Screw the TSFLAT2 into the filter thread and you have exactly 55 mm working distance from the T2 thread. Ideal for DSLR cameras, you just need a suitable T2 ring. To achieve a reproducible distance, we recommend the counter ring 2zKonter.
TSRED80 - focal length reduction and field correction
This corrector is actually designed for the 80mm f / 7 ED. But it also performs well on the 70mm f / 6. The focal length is reduced to 336 mm and the light intensity increases to f / 4.8. We recommend a working distance of 63 mm to improve the correction factor.
The adaption of a DSLR camera is easy, you only need a T2 extension sleeve with 5 mm (TST2V8) and the matching T2 ring.
Finder holder for the TS 70mm ED refractor:
The small ED itself becomes a super viewfinder with a 2 "diagonal and a long-focal eyepiece. Nevertheless, the ED also offers the option of attaching a viewfinder. We offer two options:
♦ TSSUBA TS finder shoe (flexible base) - this finder shoe fits directly onto the focuser. Only one of the two M4 blind screws has to be unscrewed here. The finder shoe is then attached with an M4 countersunk screw. This enables compact red dot finders (see Figure No. 4 above) to be attached.
♦ TS Guidemount - Mini double mounting - Clamp the 70mm ED on one side over the GP level prism clamp and attach the viewfinder on the other side. This solution is ideal for 8x50 optical viewfinders and mini guiding telescopes (guide tubes) that would simply take up too much space on the focuser.
