Explore Scientific's Sun Catcher solar filters are available in various sizes for telescopes with aperture diameters from 60mm to 254mm. They can be individually adjusted to the existing telescope diameter within certain limits and are quick to install. Easily and cost-effectively equip your telescope with a completely safe white-light solar filter and observe, for example, the movement of sunspots, planetary transits, eclipses, and aircraft flybys.

The special "Solarlite" film built into the Sun Catcher solar filters reliably protects the eye from infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light when observing the sun. Only the sun's "muted" light, which is harmless to the eyes, is transmitted and appears as a beautiful image in the eyepiece. These solar filters are also ideal for photographing the sun.

The Solarlite special film is manufactured by the well-known Thousand Oaks Optical company in the USA and guarantees absolutely safe use. Solarlite offers the optical quality of a high-quality glass solar filter and the insensitivity of a polymer filter film.

NOTE: All Explore Scientific solar filters have been tested according to ISO12312-2. Solarlite has therefore been approved by Thousand Oaks Optical for direct observation of the sun.
