Dual AZ and EQ mount
Built-in open source "iMate" computer with WiFi, KStars, INDI, Ekos
High precision encoders
The previous iOptron HAE69 and HAE69EC mounts have evolved into the HAE69B iMate to keep pace with current, rapidly evolving technology developments.
These lightweight, compact, medium payload mounts offer an astronomy experience like never before. Imagine a mount head that weighs less than 10kg but has a payload of 31kg without the need for a bulky counterweight. The HAE69 series is based on iOptron's decades of experience in developing precision mounts and makes these versions possible. By using state-of-the-art gear technology for the RA and DEC axes, the HAE69 mounts offer an unparalleled weight-to-payload ratio.
The black anodized, all-metal, CNC-machined housing is visually appealing and provides a robust platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come. Unique features such as an electronic friction brake and power-down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo pan or continue tracking even after a sudden power outage (no realignment or reboot required).
The "iMate" models feature a powerful 64-bit based on-board computer with Wi-Fi, pre-installed KStars planetarium software, Ekos control and automation tool and INDI drivers. This hardware-software combination supports the use of most current and future (accessory) devices, such as cameras, focusers, filter wheels, etc. This allows the user to freely choose the brand and model.
With 32GB eMMC storage and a slot for up to 64GB TF (micro SD) storage, the iMate offers the ability to control and capture an entire automated recording session. The iMate is cross-platform: it can be used with Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS and Android etc. All HAE69B iMate Dual Alt-AZ/EQ mounts now have an internal motherboard and no longer need to be controlled with a hand box. All accessories can be connected to the iMate and there is no more cable clutter when the mount is in use.
*The two HAE69B EC models are also equipped with a high-precision RA-axis encoder that offers incredible tracking accuracy, so many users will certainly choose long exposure shots without guiding!*
