DSLR Buddy provides the astrophotographer with the two most important things in the field. Power for the camera and for the lens heater against dew.

The device provides consistent power for a DSLR camera simply by replacing the camera battery with the included battery adapter. You can power a camera all night long without interruption.

DSLR Buddy can prevent dew formation on your lens by using a dew heater, which must have a standard RCA plug and is available separately. Connect the heating sleeve, wrap it around the lens and the latter will remain dew-free throughout your entire shooting session.

Consistent power supply for the DSLR camera
Plug the battery dummy into your DSLR and you will no longer have to constantly change your battery because it runs out of power. Connect a 9-15V power supply to the DSLR Buddy and provide your camera with a stable voltage all night long!

Built-in single-channel output for heating sleeves with RCA connection
DSL Buddy has a pulse width modulation output for power control to operate a heating sleeve or flat field box at over 5 A maximum current. For larger lenses, we recommend the DewZapper 3-4" DSLR heater, which is powerful enough to keep your DSLR lens free of frost and dew. For small lenses around 50mm, the 2" DewZapper heater will be sufficient. For telescopes, use the larger dew heaters such as Dewzapper or Kendrick.

Easy to control with a rotary knob
You can manually attenuate the output using the button on the top of the DSLR Buddy.
A red light (PWM duty cycle indicator) changes brightness as you adjust the dial.

Protection against reverse polarity
The device is designed to protect it from reverse polarity voltage. You no longer have to worry about accidentally connecting your power supply with the polarity reversed.
