TS 1.25" CONCENTER - there is no easier way to adjust a Newtonian
The alternative to all adjustment devices on the market! Here, the center of the secondary mirror is finally perfectly adjusted (without prior application of a mark) towards the eyepiece extension with full illumination! The Newtonian offset is also taken into account. This means that even beginners can achieve perfect adjustment of their Newtonian telescope - even for astrophotography.

The Concenter eyepiece consists of a closed cylinder, similar to a Cheshire eyepiece. The decisive difference to a Cheshire is the recessed circular disk.

You do not need any center markings on the secondary mirror when adjusting. The adjustment is carried out directly over the edge of the mirror, so that the optical light surfaces are exactly aligned, even taking the offset into account. You adjust much more precisely here than with a laser, and above all you can be sure that not only the axis but also the field is optimally adjusted.

Instructions on how to collimate your Newton with the Concenter adjustment eyepiece:
If you hold the adjustment eyepiece in your hand, you will notice a transparent plastic disc with a central hole and concentric engraved circles embedded in the lower end of the telescope. At the other end you will find a central hole that is so small that the eye has no way of avoiding centering when looking through it later. After inserting the adjustment eyepiece into the eyepiece extension, you will see matt translucent rings in front of the optical components of the telescope.
Adjusting the secondary mirror to the eyepiece extension for optimal illumination: This step is carried out with the main mirror covered. When using the Concenter eyepiece, it is important to ensure good lighting. Now the secondary mirror can be adjusted, assuming that the eyepiece extension is mounted at a right angle, so that it is positioned by moving or twisting it so that it appears circular and without offset between the circles of the adjustment set. The focus control of the eyepiece extension can be used to make the outer edge of the secondary mirror and the corresponding circle coincide. Even small deviations from the ideal position are immediately recognized here. This allows you to bring the secondary mirror into the optimal position for the extension with millimeter accuracy. This step is only necessary once, after which you can remove the cover of the main mirror.

Aligning the secondary mirror to the main mirror: Look through the small opening of the Concenter and adjust the secondary mirror with the adjustment screws until the bright reflection of the main mirror is concentric with the circles.

Aligning the main mirror to the optical axis: Now bring the center mark of the main mirror exactly into the center of the concentric circles using the adjustment screws on the main mirror cell. You will immediately see the smallest deviations. After that, your Newtonian telescope is perfectly adjusted.
