TS UNCSC2 2" Crayford focuser for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes from Celestron and Meade
The UNCSC2 is a short focuser with a height of only 85 mm. The short length and excellent workmanship make this pull-out one of the best in its class. A good Crayford focuser offers decisive advantages for owners of Meade or Celestron SC, EHD or ACF telescopes.
♦ No problem with shifting the main mirror, which is bypassed.
♦ Significantly more precise focus adjustment thanks to the 10:1 micro reduction.
♦ Subsequent motorization is possible.
The advantages and product features of the TS UNCSC2 focuser:
♦ In addition to the 2" and 1.25" ring clamp, the focuser also offers a 65 mm external thread for screw adaptations. This is especially important for astrophotography.
♦ The focuser has a universal adapter that fits all SC threads from Celestron and Meade, including the large ones used, for example, by Celestron from the C11 and by Meade from the 10" SC.
♦ Reinforced ball bearings and a V2A stainless steel tread provide maximum rigidity and full functionality even after many years of aluminum slowly wearing away.
♦ The 1:10 reduction is professional quality and is also made of V2A and hardened steel.
♦ Solid steel rails are incorporated into the draw tube as counter bearings for the ball bearings for clean running.
♦ The resistance is adjusted with a friction screw. Clamping the extension becomes unnecessary because the extension holds exactly the position you set, even with heavy loads. Nevertheless, there is also a clamping screw (knurled screw).
♦ The steel parts and gears are designed for long-term operation under high loads, especially for astrophotography. The stainless steel ball bearings run on surfaces that are also made of stainless steel. This means that nothing can be pressed into, for example, soft aluminum.
♦ The inner tube has anti-reflective ribs to increase contrast.
♦ A gear accommodates the movement of the optional TSACUMOTORFOK motor focus. A slip clutch still enables manual operation. The power is transmitted via the micro reduction, which also guarantees precise focusing using a motor.
