The Antlia Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter is a stray light suppression filter for color and monochrome cameras. It is capable of capturing most deep sky objects such as galaxies, reflection nebulae, emission nebulae and star clusters under a sky ranging from Bortle 8 to Bortle 1, as its spectral transmittance covers the visible light range, the near ultraviolet (NUV) and the near infrared (NIR) range includes.
The Antlia quad-band filter has a wide bandpass designed for faster optics up to f/2 aperture ratio.

Certain full-spectrum objects such as M51 and M83 have a significant near-infrared (NIR) signal. With the Antlia Quad Band filter, you may be able to capture these deep sky objects under light-polluted skies with more contrast.
When using this filter with a camera that has a UV/IR protective glass, the emission in the visible range is preserved, but the IR blocking limits the ability to capture objects with infrared emission.
Therefore, the Antlia Quad Band Filter is more suitable for cameras with AR protective glass as they can capture both NIR and visible signals.
