The Optolong KG3 filter completely blocks IR radiation up to 5000 nm! This provides the best possible protection from the sun's heat radiation (unless you put the cover on the telescope) if you are unsure about the quality of your solar filter.

DANGER! This filter is intended only as a supplement to a lens solar filter or a Herschel prism, it is NOT a replacement for a solar filter!
