Imaging sensor
The main IMX585 sensor has a 1/1.2-inch format and 8.28 MP in total. The size is 11.2 mm in width x 6.3 mm in height and the diagonal is 13.2 mm. The small pixel size of 2.9 µm x 2.9 µm offers high resolution and a good full-well capacity of 38.7 ke.
Guiding sensor
The SC2210 sensor taken from the ASI220MM Mini camera features very high sensitivity. The QE peak value reaches 92% at 500 nm. The read noise is as low as 0.6 e. As the new generation of guide sensor, it has achieved great results in guiding, proved by hundreds of astrophotographers.

The full-well capacity of this camera is 38.7 ke, making long exposure images less prone to overexposure. The good full-well capacity and high dynamic range make it possible to capture both bright and dark areas with amazing clarity and detail. Experience the wonderful details and colors (via RGB exposures) of objects like never before!
The HCG mode
The camera has a built-in HCG mode that can effectively reduce readout noise at high gain and maintain the same wide dynamic range that you would expect at low gain. When the gain is 200, the HCG mode will turn on automatically. This results in readout noise of just over 1 e-, while the dynamic range can still reach almost 12 f-stops.
Note: Previously, HCG mode switched on at a gain of 252. To switch on at a gain of 200, you must update ASIAIR or ASIStudio. After updating, you will need to re-shoot calibration frames to ensure proper stacking in post-processing.

Guiding
After connecting to the mount, guiding is realised via the built-in guiding sensor, the built-in ASIAir control and the imaging software, i.e. the ASIAIR app or ASIImg from the ASIStudio suite. An ST-4 autoguider cable to the mount is therefore just as unnecessary as a separate guiding camera.
Instant post-processing and sharing
Live stack is supported during your imaging session. You may also make adjustments to brightness, contrast and others on the final image. Instantly share your masterpieces on social media platforms and astronomy communities, making your work stand out.
