In addition to many mechanical advantages, the Protective T-Ring for Canon EOS DSLR cameras offers a real solution to the problem. It can accommodate mounted 2" filters and unmounted 50.4mm filters, making it possible to place a filter in front of the camera without losing the optical path.

The Baader Protective T-Ring is a real alternative to the normal camera conversion with a replacement filter. Just have the original Canon EOS IR cut filter removed. We offer this service: Art.Nr. DSLR conversionOF.

Instead of the filter position directly in front of the chip, the IR blocking filter is integrated into the protective T-ring. You can also use the effective Baader UHC nebula filter instead of the IR blocking filter.

Another advantage compared to clip filters is the simpler integration into the system. You can also work with full-frame cameras from the EOS series, for example, without changing the filter - with full illumination.
