TS-Optics RC 0.8x Corrector Reducer for Ritchey Chretien with Adapter

The corrector and focal length reducer is specially designed for Ritchey Chrétien telescopes and shortens the focal length by a factor of 0.8 and at the same time corrects the field of view.
Connection on the telescope side: M78x1 external thread - suitable for the corresponding internal threads of eyepiece extensions
Connection on the camera side: M68x1 external thread to M48x0.75 external thread
Working distance is 55 mm from the M48x0.75 thread and 74 mm from the M68x1 external thread - if you unscrew the telescope connection adapter, the distance can be extended to 82 mm.
Diameter 74 mm - the corrector can be recessed into 3" eyepiece extensions
The focal length is shortened by a factor of 0.8x and the light intensity is increased accordingly.
The corrector is suitable for all RC telescopes from TS-Optics, GSO, Astrotec, Omegon ... from 8" aperture. The prerequisite is an eyepiece extension with at least 74.5mm free opening

TS 0.8x focal length reduction and image field correction for Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes
Telescope Service offers you a complete correction of the image field of RC telescopes while simultaneously reducing the focal length to 80%. Pure telecompressors, such as the CCDT67 from Astro Physics, reduce the focal length without correcting the image field. The result is an image error (astigmatism) in the corners. The larger the sensor, the more pronounced the error.

The TSRCRED is specially designed for the image field of f/8 RC telescopes and therefore completely eliminates the image errors. The result is sharper and more point-like stars and easier focusing. This reducer is also the only one for full format that can be used with our TS RCs from 10" with the large extensions, such as TSFOCR30S.

The adaptation of the TSRCRED to the telescope:
The corrector already comes with the complete adaptation to the telescope, whereby the corrector is sunk into the extension. This saves valuable optical path and the eyepiece extension is not subjected to so much strain. The connection thread on the telescope side is an M78x1 external thread. This means that the corrector can be screwed directly into the TSFOCR30S and the extension fits directly onto the M117x1 thread of the RC.

The original extension of the large RC telescopes with the M117x1 connection on the tube has a M77x0.75 internal thread. With the M77a-M78i adapter you can easily connect the corrector to the RC and the corrector is sunk into the extension tube.

The camera adaptation to the TSRCRED-G2:
The corrector also comes with a ready-made adaptation for cameras, with which you can easily achieve the correct distance.
55 mm from the M48x0.75 external thread:
This allows you to easily connect DSLR, system or astro cameras with commercially available photo adapters.
74 mm from the M68x1 external thread:

The larger M68 thread is interesting for cameras with very large sensors or for longer setups with off-axis guiders. This improves the illumination and gives you even more space for your own image train. Adapters to M48 or M54 are of course available.
