Softens light evenly in all color ranges, increasing contrast when details are outshined by excessive brightness. Ideal for the moon in any telescope, and on larger telescopes also in conjunction with other color filters. This filter is also very helpful when observing close double stars, when one of the two stars threatens to outshine its partner.
