The dew shield for the Telrad viewfinder prevents fogging of the projection lens in adverse weather conditions. It features a built-in 90° deflecting mirror for easier use in the zenith position. Operation is very simple: When the TELRAD viewfinder is not in use, simply fold the dew shield over the viewfinder's projection lens. This eliminates the need to wipe away moisture, and the viewfinder is always ready for use. The dew shield is made of impact-resistant plastic and provides additional protection for the viewfinder's projection lens against scratches during transport. Retrofitting the dew shield is very easy and is done using the two screws on the side.
