Why this doublet optic shows more detail
Put an end to images without contrast. The Doublet Apochromat shows what is really possible: pure color and high contrast observations and astrophotos. The reason is a sophisticated double-lens design with the premium OHARA FPL-53 glass for a crystal clear image. Compared to most mirror systems, you will see more and finer details in planetary observations, for example, due to the better defined optics. The lens elements have been provided with an effective muli-coating against reflections on all surfaces. Look forward to observations and images that will be remembered.

2" gear eyepiece focuser with ball bearings
Almost a true space miracle, the 2" gear focuser is large enough, no shadowing occurs. An ingenious hybrid technique of Crayford and gear makes it especially powerful and suitable for accessories up to 3kg. In addition, it can be focused silky smooth via the ball bearings, so you can easily find the perfect focus. A 1:10 reduction for finest corrections completes this focuser. These are exactly the features that astrophotographers around the world appreciate.

360° rotation for the perfect image focus
Object found and focused, but misaligned? At night, you should save yourself the trouble of starting all over again and aligning an elongated object to fit the sensor. The 360° rotatable focuser makes this task easy, as it is done in seconds.

CNC tube for one of the best optics
The tube of the Omegon Apo consists of a CNC machined metal construction with a sophisticated aperture system against reflections. The entire tube has been lined with a velvet-like black fabric.
