Products description
Replacing the Heritage Rockerbox Teflon plate
Goal: -> Smooth tracking with the rocker box
Solution: -> Replacing the Teflon plates
Tools: -> Screwdriver, socket, small hammer
Craftsmanship challenge: 1/5 stars
Procedure:
The rocker box on the Heritage models slides over three small Teflon plates. If one becomes loose or broken, tracking will be impaired. But it's no big deal.
- Loosen the large central screw on the base plate of the rocker box.
- Remove the defective Teflon plate.
- Cut a new plate to size (approx. 25x20mm and approximately 3mm thick).
- Secure the plate with a small nail. The nail head must not protrude to prevent smooth sliding.
- Screw the base plate of the rocker box back together. Do not overtighten so as not to make tracking difficult.
