Spechtelplatz for Munich near the exit "Eschenlohe"

Today we found a new observation spot for the southern Munich area: near the "Eschenlohe" exit.

It's beautifully situated and protected by the mountain range. There's little light pollution, and the lighting conditions are very close to the Sudelfeld. It's easier to reach, as you can get there directly from the highway without having to travel much on country roads.
