Teflon tape between lens cell and tube permanent collimation

If the gap between the tube and the lens cell is too large, the tilt cannot be easily corrected, as the collimation can easily tilt back again.

We solve this with Teflon tape, which plumbers use to seal pipes. To do this, we wrap enough layers around the tube until the lens cell is firmly in place.

After successful alignment using the artificial star or the GMK, the collimation can be fixed with the three screws. It may be necessary to convert a hole in the lens cell into an elongated hole and cut the dew cap.
