Robust construction

The tripod for the StarSense Explorer Tabletop Dobsonians is securely connected to the Dobsonian mount of your telescope with three screws on the underside of the mounting plate. The integrated accessory tray doubles as a center support to make the entire structure rigid and unyielding, and can also accommodate up to five additional 1¼" eyepieces. The all-metal tripod is made from high-quality materials that will withstand years of use in harsh outdoor conditions.
Observation comfort

Find the perfect viewing position with ease! The tripod features three height-adjustable legs made of stainless steel with a diameter of 38 mm (1.5"). Whether you prefer to observe standing or sitting, you can easily find the most comfortable position for a relaxed observing experience. The raised tripod helps to overlook obstacles such as fences and low trees.

The tripod is lightweight and collapsible, so you can easily transport it and set it up at your favorite observing spot. Spend less time setting it up and more time exploring the wonders of the night sky. When you're done observing, the legs fold inward and store under the mounting plate.
