Leveraging the expansion wave design with its high torque and compact design, Sky-Watcher's WAVE mounts provide high precision and performance in an affordable and portable package. With exclusive features not found on any other expansion wave mount, the new WAVE series is a serious update and improvement to Sky-Watcher's already immensely popular family of astronomy mounting platforms.

The Sky-Watcher WAVE-100i is based on a voltage wave or harmonic gear design. This drive design offers a number of advantages, including high-precision tracking with minimal backlash for long exposure shooting and a compact design with a remarkable payload-to-weight ratio for the use of various devices while providing convenient transport.

The WAVE-100i offers a payload capacity of 10kg (15kg with optional counterweight kit) while being incredibly compact and lightweight. Sky-Watcher's WAVE mounts also feature EQ and AZ tracking modes with RA and DEC home positions, dual-fit saddles, 0-90º latitude range, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality, RA Braking when the power is off, as well as a red backlit latitude indicator and spirit level to make your setup routine much easier.
